I was here during a huge snowstorm and my departing flight was cancelled. The hotel was so kind and accommodating. Very secure, after hours an attendant must come open the door for you. I like that. It is much bigger than it looks. It's old and fun inside lots of history and cool things to look at, kinda creepy too. Fun. Has 3 or 4 levels only went to the third floor but I know I'll be going back to check out the rest in the very near future, nice respectable staff.
My top choice anytime I’m in the area. I travel a lot and usually stay in the “cookie cutter” hotels. SCP is a breath of fresh air with hardwood floors, historic building, great amenities (Pelaton!), and an all around vibe of well-being. My colleagues asked to switch our travel around so we could stay here an extra night. As the receptionist aptly put it, “it’s like home when you have to be away from home.” Yes, yes it is.
